SAYRA Club of the Month

On June 6, 1972 Keowee Sailing Club was incorporated and organized for the purposes of promoting fellowship and goodwill through sailing, enhancing the sailing proficiency of all members by sharing experiences, and engaging in organized competition among and with other clubs.

KSC provides sailing opportunities for all sailors.  Its regattas include the Keowee Cup, an open regatta, Bare What You Dare, for catamarans, and the fall open regatta, Turkey Shoot. It has a growing Junior program of activities throughout the season. It is an active member of the South Atlantic Yacht Racing Association.

With over 225 members KSC has a very active sailing and social schedule. Racing runs year round with an every other weekend format for One Design, PHRF and Cruising Fleets. The calendar also has regular social gathering opportunities.KSC welcomes guest and visitors, for racing, sailing, socializing, or just rocking on the porch enjoying the mountain views.
